Terms of Service

GUARD is a consumer trust and protection tool. It lets you run a Check on a website, store, social profile, business name or seller name; track renewals, bills, trials, deadlines and expiries in Watch; and record purchases, receipts, return windows and warranty dates in Protect. Each Watch item and each protected purchase runs for a period you choose — 3, 6, 12 or 24 months — which is separate from any subscription period. Return, refund and warranty deadlines may include an optional time of day, recorded in your device's timezone; when no time is given the deadline is treated as the end of that day. Reminders are sent before a deadline or period ends and are best-effort — they do not extend or guarantee any right you have against a seller.

• GUARD reports evidence and signals. It does not guarantee that any seller, business or website is safe, legitimate, solvent or honest.
• GUARD does not detect fraud with certainty and is not a fraud determination, credit reference, background check or legal opinion.
• Information that could not be verified is labelled as unavailable. Missing information is not automatically evidence of fraud.
• Third-party sources may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and a Check reflects only what was observable at the time it was run.
• You remain solely responsible for your purchasing decisions and for any payment you choose to make.

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. One person, one account.

• Do not use GUARD to harass, defame or target any person or business.
• Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, Check credits, payment verification, referral qualification, or any access control.
• Do not scrape, resell, or automate access to GUARD outputs without our written permission.
• Do not upload content you have no right to upload, or content that is unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules or abuse the service.

Free accounts include a limited number of Checks, Watch items and protected purchases. Additional single uses can be purchased individually as Check, Watch or Protect slots, or you can subscribe to a paid plan for a recurring allowance. A purchased slot applies only to the feature it was bought for, is consumed once, and never creates or extends a subscription. Plan state, usage and slot balances are determined by GUARD's servers from verified payment events — not by your device.

Current plans are GUARD Plus at $4.99 per month, GUARD Pro at $9.99 per month, and GUARD Plus Annual at $39.99 per year. Prices may be charged in a local currency by our payment provider. We may change prices or plan contents with reasonable notice; changes do not apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

The referral programme is governed by the Referral Terms. Rewards depend on the qualification rules described there and on verified billing events.

You keep ownership of everything you submit — Check inputs, Watch items, purchases, receipts and support messages. You grant GUARD only the permission needed to store and process that content in order to operate the service for you.

GUARD is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, and some features — such as GUARD Verified — may be in development and not yet available. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GUARD is not liable for losses arising from a purchase you chose to make, from a seller's conduct, from third-party data being inaccurate or unavailable, or from any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid GUARD in the twelve months before the claim.

You can stop using GUARD and close your account at any time through Support. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
